Young, Brigit

Brigit Young is the author of the middle grade novels Worth a Thousand Words and The Prettiest. Her poetry and short fiction have appeared in several literary journals, and for many years she taught writing workshops to kids of all ages. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two daughters.

1. I used to be actress and I met my husband playing boyfriend and girlfriend on an episode of a soap opera!
2. I’m from Michigan, but I’ve lived for about fourteen years in New York City, and yet I’ve never gotten used to it. I still feel like a small town girl in the big city.
3. When I was a kid I wanted to be an orca researcher, and nowadays my dream vacation is to go to Washington and see orcas in action.
