Our 13th Annual Hudson Children’s Book Festival set for May 4th 2024!

Authors & Illustrators — Would you like to participate in the 2024 Festival?

If you’d like to be a participating author at the 2024 Hudson Children’s Book Festival, please complete our online application.  Participating authors and illustrators are chosen at our discretion and each applicant will be notified of their status whether accepted or not. If you are not chosen as a participating author, you will be placed on a wait list. The deadline for applying is February 16, 2024.

1. Before I started writing, I was a product designer. I’ve designed some strange things: eye-wash stations, label makers, baby incubators, and pencil cups.
2. I didn’t always want to be a writer! I’ve always loved books, but it took me a long time to write one of my own.
3. I hated middle school. My hair never cooperated, no matter how much hairspray I used!

3. I have two scruffy dogs named Chebini and Olympia!

And some fun facts about Daniel:
1. I've driven back and forth across the United States 10 times--once through a super storm.
2. My childhood cat lived to be 25 and used to ride on the back of my childhood dog.
3. The secret ingredient in my family's chicken stew recipe is black currant jelly.
